DescriptionThe Roundup Chamber of Commerce invites you to join us for our Annual Black Powder Fest on Memorial Weekend. This event will offer a chance to see and experience a true historically and culturally correct 1840s Montana Mountain Rendezvous camp.
This event will include a diamond fly tent and an entire camp from the 1840s period. Demonstrations will be given on camp set up with tents, camp fires, cooking, bedding, flint knapping, tomahawk throws, rifle demonstrations, archery demos, trade blankets and lead ball bullet making. For a small donation, the public will be able to try their hand at shooting, archery, children period games and tomahawk throws. For each $10, a visitor spends with merchants in the town of Roundup, the visitor will receive a free ticket to participate in an event at the park.
Sunday, there will be a parade and everyone is invited to participate. Call 406-323-2260 to enter. No fee is required. Whether you came to participate or simply watch, this event will be a Fest to remember. Come join us!
