Huckleberry Hillclimb - Whitefish

Saturday, September 04, 2010

The Huckleberry Hillclimb is the final event in the Summer Biking Season. You had better done your time on your bikeseat, because the 'Huckleberry Hillclimb' requires riders to climb all the way to the summit from the bottom of the Big Mountain road.

The format is simple - a mass start at the bottom of the Road (intersection of E Lakeshore and Big Mountain Road). Climb up the road through the upper village to the summit trail (access right by the chalet / hellroaring saloon) and climb the summit trail to the summit of the mountain. The total mileage is about 12 miles and climbs about 3700 feet.

2009 Winner time was about 1:15 Minutes.

Cyclocross bikes welcome, but all racers must keep the same bike through the entire race.

Helmets must be worn entire race.
