DescriptionRainbow Point Lodge is a family operated business that is dedicated to outdoor people with emphasis on fly fishing and family functions (entertainment). Rainbow Point Lodge sits on a point overlooking the valley and mountains of the Bitterroot and is surrounded by a 3,000 acre working cattle ranch. Wildlife abounds in the area and it is a bird watchers paradise. We offer a two hour wildlife and bird watching tour around the ranch that can be prearranged. Our state flower, the Bitterroot, abounds in the higher elevations of the ranch.
The lodge has two levels. The first floor has two bedrooms, a double bed in one room and two single beds in the other. A full kitchen, living room with satellite TV and a spacious bathroom. The bottom floor alone can be rented out separate from the upstairs for $85.00 a night for 2 people and $100.00 for 3-4 people. The upper floor has a day room with two double beds and a single bed in the fly tying room. A second satellite TV is located upstairs with a bathroom and shower. A fly tying and fishing room is also located upstairs. The whole lodge rents fro $150.00 per night.
Your host is also a FLY MERCHANT and trout flies can be purchased at a very reasonable rate along with other fishing accessories. So, get off the beaten track, relax, fish, hike and enjoy one of God's greatest creations, the Bitterroot Valley.
DirectionsRainbow Point Lodge is located 10 miles south of Hamilton on Old Darby Road. Old Darby Road is a dirt road that parallels Highway 93 on the east side of the Bitterroot River. Go south 3 miles, turn on Skalkaho Highway, proceed .7 miles and turn right onto Sleeping Child Road. Then proceed 2.5 miles, turn right on Old Darby Road and go 3 miles to Lodge. Ask directions at the Chamber of Commerce in downtown Hamilton.
