DescriptionExperience a week or more at the Raven Ridge Farm CSA and Homestay in a unique, custom-crafted, straw bale home that is entirely powered by the sun and wind. (Please be assured you will have the same comforts as you have at any home.) This is a place where Nature is infused by architectural design into every living moment. Our 32 acres offer expansive open views all the way up to Glacier National Park while still having the feeling of being tucked away in the cozy privacy of a beautiful conifer forest. Our farm operation is located both on the property well below the house and at another location near Kalispell.
The stuccoed interior provides comfort and warmth during cool weather and a refuge from the heat in hot weather. The house has beautiful exposed timbers harvested (during thinning) from our property and hand-crafted cabinets throughout. Both the master bedroom and bathroom are spacious with artfully textured walls that play with the changing sunlight. The 2,000 square foot open floor plan includes two lofts for extra sleeping space, reading, yoga, etc. An office area is available for use...however you may prefer to remain outside relaxing in the hammock.
Plenty of starry nights, clean air and pure water, and tasty, nutritious organic vegetables, herbs, and flowers grown on our farm and provided to our guests for free.
Raven Ridge Farm is a great place for families with much to explore right outside the door that encourages adventure and discovery. The homestay is adjacent to National Forest land for quick and easy access to hiking and mountain biking. Our farm is located at 3,600 feet near the foot of a 6,000-foot mountain 2 miles west. Nearby are numerous beautiful mountain lakes of all sizes, including Smith Lake bird refuge. And we're within 45 miles of Glacier National Park.
DirectionsRaven Ridge Farm Homestay is approximately 16 miles southwest of Kalispell. Travel 10 miles on Highway 2 west, take a left onto Kila Road. Proceed 1.5 miles, then go left on Smith Lake Road. Continue 1,000 feet and turn right (west) onto Brown's Meadow Road, which you will drive on for 5.5 miles. Turn at the driveway on the right side and continue .5 mile up to vacation home.
