DescriptionA unique, octagon-shaped log and stone lodge (with platform camping) is being developed on the site of an old gold mine, deep within the 2.8 million-acre Lolo and St. Joe National Forests. Bordering Idaho, it will overlook Montana's Silver Lake. Five miles from 'civilization' (Saltese, population 40), it'll be the B&B nearest Lookout Pass Ski Area, Trail of the Hiawatha and the Montana Bar & Grill. Discover 'Nowhere' via Jeep, ATV, snowmobile, or helicopter!
DirectionsWe're 95 miles west of Missoula, 95 miles east of Spokane, and 65 miles east of Coeur d'Alene. Take I-90 Saltese Exit 10, then go south 200 yards to the US Forest Service's Silver Creek Road, then (staying to the right) go 4.5 miles to Silver Lake. About 100 yards before the lake, take a left on Mertz/Inn The Middle of Nowhere Access Road and continue 0.5 mile.
