Artemis Acres Paint Horse Ranch - Kalispell

Artemis Acres Paint Horse Ranch is a western guest facility nestled in the foothills of the Salish Mountain Range, which is a part of Northwest Montana's Rocky Mountains. We offer more than a bed-and-breakfast, but remain smaller than most Montana guest ranches, thereby enabling us to provide personalized service. The lodge is the guest quarters. There is a kitchen and central dining room, and a covered deck for out door dining. The three guest rooms each have private bath, a kitchenette with wet bar and refrigerator, and either a king size or two twin-extra-long beds. Each has separate entrance off a deck. Have coffee on the deck outside your room in the morning and watch the mares and foals in the pasture. In the evening, relax with a glass of wine and observe white-tailed deer frolicking in the same fields.

Our guest ranch consists of eighty deeded acres in the Flathead Valley, and we lease thousands more acres from a private timber company thus providing miles and miles of area for hiking, horseback riding, hunting, and snowmobiling. We offer half and full-day horseback rides, as well as dinner rides. Full day horseback rides include a picnic lunch at a spot overlooking the Flathead Valley and Swan Range of the Rocky Mountains. Dinner rides can follow an afternoon or evening of horseback riding. Chicken, steak, or buffalo burgers (veggie burgers can be substituted) are cooked over an open, wood barbecue and served with salads and all the trimmings at the head of a hidden, peaceful meadow.

Glacier National Park, Flathead Lake, Whitefish Mountain Resort and Blacktail Mountain Ski Areas are all easily accessible. Also within an hour's or two hour's drive are the National Bison Range, the Salish-Kootenai and Blackfoot Indian Reservations, Jewel Basin Hiking Area, and the scenic Swan Valley.
