DescriptionAt Backwood Survival Adventures we provide adventures that include treks into wild mountainous areas to learn about wildlife, their environment and learn basic survival skills. Explore miles of trails, camp by alpine lakes and see breath taking views. We provide local travel and travel to and from your point of arrival. All equipment rental and supplies are included in our package price. Elk, deer, moose, bear, mountain lion, wolves and eagles are some of the animals and birds that inhabit this wild country. If you are looking for adventure, it all starts right here.
DirectionsBackwood Survival Adventures is located two miles north of the community of Yaak on Highway 508. From the town of Troy travel west on Highway 2 ten miles to Highway 508 (Yaak River Road) turn right and proceed 32 miles (2 miles past Yaak) to the 32 mile marker turn right 1/2 mile to last drive on left.
From Bonners Ferry Idaho, drive 3 miles north on Highway 95 to Highway 2 west, turn right, drive 12 miles to Montana state line and proceed another 3 miles to Highway 508 (Yaak River Road) drive 32 miles (2 miles past Yaak)to the 32 mile marker, turn right 1/2 mile to last drive on left.
