Swan Mountain Outfitters - Swan Lake

Swan Mountain Outfitters is a full service outfitting and guide service. Guided hunting trips consist of spring bear hunts, fall bear hunts and fall backcountry combination hunts in the Bob Marshall Wilderness for elk and mule deer. During the general season, late October through late November, hunts are conducted out of our base camp with opportunities for elk, whitetail and mule deer.



Swan Mountain Outfitters caters to both archers and rifle hunters. All hunts are conducted off of horseback on public land and are operated under Flathead National Forest Service permits.

Because of Swan Mountain Outfitters centralized location a variety of fishing options and styles are offered. Guided river float trips on the Swan River take you down this wild and Scenic River which is abundant with of Rainbow Trout, Bull Trout, and Westslope Cutthroat Trout. For the true Western enthusiasts the fishing/trail ride combination trips are a must! Guests ride through an old growth cedar forest and reach a high mountain lake. Walk and wade trips are also offered for anglers eager to fish secluded fishing holes and stretches of water. Fly fishing lessons are a great way to begin the trip and are a valuable resource for any angler whether anglers are new to the sport or are looking to brush up your skills.

During the summer, three, five and six day pack trips to the high country are offered to guests seeking an authentic experience in the Bob Marshall Wilderness. Activities including: fishing the clear lakes and streams (abundant with trout), hiking, photography, wildlife watching and horseback riding.

Daily trail ride, wagon rides and beef & buggy dinners are offered out of a base camp in the Swan Valley. Durations range from 2 hours to full day and horses are available for all experience levels. Let Swan Mountain Outfitters work with you to create your memorable Montana experience!
