Tizer Botanic Gardens and Arboretum - Jefferson City

Tizer Botanic Gardens and Arboretum are situated in the heart of the Elkhorn Mountains straddling Prickly Pear Creek in Jefferson City, Montana.

Take a self guided tour or let us take you down our garden paths to explore thousands of high altitude plants, which include annuals, roses, wild flowers, herbs, vegetables, perennial and bulbs in some of the most amazing settings. The kids love our fairy and gnome gardens, where Upside Down Trees smile down and protect all their little friends. Try hiding out in the secret garden, journalizing your thoughts while being tranquilized by the crystal clear creek. The Buddha garden is the perfect place to sit and meditate. You are welcome to bring your lunch and sit at any of our numerous tables in the theme gardens, whether it be the Rose Garden, the herb patch, or maybe the Shade or Perennial Gardens. Visit the restored Gold Miner's Cabin or the Hotel, which was strategically placed on a tiny little island in the middle of the creek.

While you're here, check out our gift and garden shop!

The Tizer Botanic Garden and Arboretum is an official test and demonstration garden for the Denver Botanic Garden and Colorado State University's 'Plant Select' Program and as an All American Selection Demonstration Garden.
