This spacious and well-designed home boasts a hilltop location with views that cannot be beat! From the deck, or from the living room and upstairs loft -- you will look out across the expanse of Georgetown Lake, the beautiful surrounding forests, and the gorgeous and dramatic Pintler Mountain range and wilderness area across the way. The home is at an elevation of 6,200 feet.
The home has four bedrooms, plus an open loft that serves as a fifth sleeping area. On the lower level of the home are three bedrooms, each with queen size beds. There is one full bathroom on the main level. Upstairs, the spacious master bedroom has a king size bed and private access to the full bath - with shower stall only. This bathroom is also accessed from the loft sleeping area, where there are four queen size beds. This home can handle a crowd!
This kitchen enjoys the central location in the home - as it should be! There is a gas range and oven, and all the other appliances and accessories you would expect. A counter with barstools separates the kitchen from the dining area - for chatting with the cooks. The dining area adjoins the kitchen with a table that seats 10 comfortably - more if you squeeze! There are extra chairs available, plus outdoor seating at the picnic table on the deck.
The living room really has two amazing focal points. One, the incredible views out across the lake, and two, an impressive river rock fireplace that extends all the way up to the second story of this open room. There are plenty of comfy couches for relaxing after your day's adventures. There's also a reading nook upstairs in the loft for your group to spread out a little. There is no television at the home, but entertainment is provided with ping pong table, foosball table, dartboard, etc.
There is a gas grill and outdoor seating on the deck. A short walk or drive from the home takes you to the public access on the lakefront at Phillipsburg Bay. From this convenient location you can go hiking, boating and fishing on the lake or nearby rivers, horseback riding, white-water rafting and mountain biking. It's a short drive to the historic town of Philipsburg, where you can see the old historic district, find great restaurants, shopping, etc. For winter guests, skiing is minutes away at Discovery Ski Area (no lines, affordable tickets, and incredible vistas!), or explore some of the great snowmobile or cross country ski trails. There's so much to do!
