NRA Shooting Clinic - Whitehall

Fish Creek Gun Club offers NRA Shooting Clinics the third Saturday of each month.

NRA Basic Pistol: This course is designed to teach the basics of pistol marksmanship. The Pistol Course teaches the functions of the different kinds of handguns and ammunition. The course emphasizes firearms safety while teaching the techniques of sight alignment, breath, hold, and trigger control.

This 10 hour course offers a solid base upon which a student can safely build their shooting skills and includes two hours of shooting time on the range. All course materials including targets will be provided. A firearm can also be loaned to you if needed. Ammunition is extra. A certificate of training will be awarded to all participants who successfully complete the course .

Basic Pistol is a prerequisite for the NRA Personal Protection course.

This course meets the requirements for a concealed weapons permit in Montana and 22 other states.

$60 NRA textbook and certificate included.

From Butte Bert Mooney Airport: South on Harrison Avenue to Junction 2. Left on Highway 2 towards Whitehall, 22 miles to Junction 41. Right on Highway 41 proceed 6 miles to gravel road. Right on gravel road, 1.5 miles. First house on the left.

From Whitehall: South on Highway 55 to Junction 41. Right on Highway 41, 1.8 miles to gravel road. Left on gravel road 1.5 miles. First house on the left.

From Twin Bridges: Head north from town on Highway 41, travel 15 miles to the Butte (Highway 41/ Highway 55 Junction) turnoff. Turn left on Highway 41, travel 2 miles to the Fish Creek House turnoff.
