Healing Waters Lodge - Twin Bridges

Healing Waters Lodge brings together the variety of southwest Montanas trout waters and the comfort of a small, welcoming lodge. Based in Twin Bridges in the Ruby Valley, our Orvis-endorsed operation guides guests on the Big Hole, Beaverhead, Madison, Ruby, and Jefferson rivers, as well as private streams, creeks, and ponds. Each offers a different kind of fishing, from broad river floats to quiet water that rewards a careful cast. Guides tailor the day to guests experience and the conditions.

Back at the lodge, 20 acres of open grounds and mountain views give guests space to slow down. Our 12 private guest rooms have air conditioning and private bathrooms. Made-to-order breakfasts, riverside lunches, and chef-prepared dinners are part of the fishing-lodge experience, with time to gather over appetizers, beer, and wine. Guests can practice on the casting pond, relax in the sun room or on the covered deck, enjoy the hot tub, or use the fitness center. Massage appointments and private local outings can be arranged separately.

Our Fly Fishing Academy combines instruction with guided days on Montana rivers. Youth and family programs introduce the next generation to the sport, while private lodge gatherings bring people together for retreats, reunions, celebrations, and time outdoors. Non-fishing guests can enjoy the grounds or explore the surrounding region.

For a different kind of adventure, our Smith River expeditions travel through a remote limestone canyon over five days and four nights, with guided fishing, riverside camps, and meals prepared by the expedition crew. The Smith is a separate backcountry trip, not a day trip from the lodge.

Founded in 1997 and owned by Steve Mackey, Healing Waters Lodge is built around good guiding, personal service, and genuine care for the guest experience. Lodge staff gratuities, fishing guide gratuities, and Montana fishing licenses are not included.
