Touring Sugar Loaf Wool Carding Mill provides educational aspects of wool processing, carding equipment, and manufacturing of value-added wool products. Processing equipment dates from 1900s to a solar hot water system for scouring wool. The idea to process wool came at a church supper while discussing low wool prices. We researched wool processing and decided to go ahead. One of the remarkable aspects was finding the equipment required in Montana. Grease wool is washed and carded into batts or roving. Students, children, adults and senior citizens all find the process fascinating.

We manufacture wool pillows in soft, medium and firm, which do not provide habitat for dust mites or bacteria. Wool is a wonderful product for pillows and bedding. Air flows through wool resulting in a cool pillow in summer and a warm cozy pillow in winter. Wool wicks away moisture so your head doesn't feel damp. We have been producing pillows for many years and have customers who love their pillows. We wish them all Sweet Dreams.
