Helena History Tours - Helena

The Foundation for Montana History provides historic walking tours of Helena, and we are devoted to sharing the rich history of the Queen City with her many visitors and locals! On our tours, you will learn about Helenas raucous early years, when a lucky gold strike transformed this remote spot into one of the wealthiest boomtowns in the West. There's something for everyone on all of our regular tours - and we also create private tours and special events for any interest. Visit www.mthistory.org/tours to book your experience! We look forward to sharing the rich history of this place with you!

Hours vary but during the 2026 Summer Season, regular walking and step on tours run Wednesdays through Saturdays at 10:00am and Thursdays and Fridays at 5:30pm. Check our website for specific schedule and to make a reservation: https://www.mthistory.org/tours.
