Sheepshead Recreation Area - Butte

Sheepshead Recreation Area is an expanse of grassy meadows and sagebrush, with several streams and a small lake all surrounded by lodgepole pine forest. The recreation area includes pavilions, picnic tables, barbecue grills, horseshoes, a fishing pier, nature trail, a volleyball court, ball fields, and paved trails.

The picnic shelter can be rented for weddings, family reunions, and picnics by calling the Butte Ranger District. Reservations can be made June 15 through Labor Day.
