Crystal Cascades Trail - Stanford

Crystal Cascades Trail (445) is a fairly easy trail that follows a creek for about 3.5 miles from the Crystal Lake Road to Crystal Cascades and gains 1,000 feet in elevation. Crystal Cascades is a scenic waterfall that emerges from a cave about 10 feet deep and flows for about 100 feet down a stair-step ledge to the trail below. The trail then leads further up and joins Ulhorn Trail 493. Obtain a Forest Visitor's map for information on any travel restrictions.

Located 9 miles west of Lewistown on US Highway 87, then 16 miles south on County Road. From Crystal Lake Campground, follow Road 275 for 4 miles, as indicated with a sign. Parking lot at trailhead. Follow Trail 493 from Crystal Lake Campground. After 1.2 miles, there is a junction with Cascades Trail.
