Description

Here is an opportunity to stay in an easily accessed CCC log cabin just 100 yards off the highway in a deep woods setting of lodgepole pine. The setting is very quiet. Highway noise is minimal. Located at Kings Hill Pass at an elevation of 7600', this cabin is just 2 miles from Showdown Ski Area. Open all year, the cabin provides access to all kinds of quiet and motorized recreation opportunities. You'll need to bring your own bedding and food. There is electricity, so there are electric lights, a refrigerator, and an electric stove. The cabin is two rooms. There are three bunk beds, a dining table and chairs, pots and pans, and dishes. Heating is from a wood stove. Firewood is provided. Rental fee is $40 per night, for up to 14 consecutive nights. Snowshoes are available for loan at the Belt Creek Ranger Station located at 4234 US Highway 89 North. The station is located between the towns of Neihart and Monarch. Their hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30 pm.

Directions

Take Highway 89 North of White Sulphur Springs for 30 miles. The cabin is on top of Kings Hill Pass 100 yard from Highway 89.
