Description

Absaroka-Beartooth Outfitters' backcountry summer fly fishing and horse pack trips through the Absaroka Beartooth Wilderness offer some of the best fishing and one of the most beautiful rides you will ever experience. Our experienced guides pack these summer adventurers into our permanent tent camp, located in Bull Moose Meadow, eight miles north of Yellowstone National Park. ABO's '5-star' backcountry camp has roomy tents with comfortable cots, a great cook, even a hot shower.

Absaroka-Beartooth Outfitters also offers summer float trips and wade fishing on many of the famous Montana Rivers including: Madison, Gallatin, Yellowstone, Boulder, Big Horn, Jefferson, and Stillwater.

Absaroka-Beartooth Outfitters offers two fair chase hunting options: wilderness and private land. Our backcountry hunts in the Absaroka Beartooth Wilderness include bow and rifle big game hunts for elk, deer, mountain goat, big horn sheep, black bear, and moose. ABO offers early rifle elk/deer hunts in the peak of the bugling season beginning September 15th, a month before the general season begins. Absaroka-Beartooth Outfitters operates two wilderness camps: Hellroaring, located eight miles north of Yellowstone National Park and Independence, located at the head of the Boulder River 55 miles south of Big Timber. We have experienced guides, very good horse and mule stock, comfortable accommodations, and a great cook.

Fair chase hunting on private land with ABO offers hunters the opportunity to hunt elk, mule deer, white-tail deer, black bear, mountain lion, upland birds, and turkey. Accommodations include comfortable cabins and home cooked meals. We take a limited number of wilderness and private land hunters so the wildlife remains abundant and our success rates stay high.

New for 2008, Absaroka-Beartooth Outfitters is offering a wilderness education program for teens ages 13-17. This all-inclusive wilderness school is designed to broaden horizons and to encourage creative thinking and positive attitudes. The program will focus on camping skills, outdoor survival, mountaineering, fishing, horsemanship, wilderness medicine and first aide. Check out our website for more details: www.aboadventures.com
