A Gateway to Yellowstone: just 20 minutes from Yellowstone Park makes Dome Mountain Ranch an excellent location for vacationers of all ages. Guests may join in a multitude of activities ranging from fly fishing, trail rides, hiking, scenic tours, hunting and much more! Dome Mountain Lodge at the Point of Rocks is within easy walking distance of the Blue Ribbon Yellowstone River. Guests will have private stream-side access to over 4 miles of a very unique section of this river. Guests will enjoy a comfortable and quiet night's stay in any one of 8 modern cabins. A newly constructed cabin on the banks of the Yellowstone River sleeps six. Included with this stay is a hearty home cooked buffet style breakfast. The lodge also offers a heated pool, horse shoe pits and an excellent social area for groups and corporations.

Fly fishers will find quality guiding services at Dome Mountain. Beginners, families and experts alike will appreciate the variety of outdoor opportunities available. Guided float trips are available on the Yellowstone and surrounding rivers in addition to complete courses on fly fishing and fly tying. Our private lake has been featured in Fly Fisher Magazine and Outdoor Life. Guests are able to rent rods, tubes, and other equipment.

Located in the heart of the elk winter range, Dome Mountain Ranch offers hunters excellent opportunities. The private property of the ranch itself is directly against nearly 1 million acres of the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness area of the Gallatin National Forest. This area also borders the boundaries of Yellowstone Park. During migration, large trophy size bulls lead herds in the thousands to their wintering areas around Dome Mountain. In addition, our resident herd also begins to move. It is not uncommon for a hunter to see hundreds of elk per day granting him or her an opportunity at bagging the elk of a lifetime.

Dome Mountain Ranch is located on the banks of the Yellowstone River 21 miles north of the park and 32 miles south of Livingston, Montana off US Highway 89 South. We are only 1 hour from Bozeman airport, just watch for the signs.
