Madison River Outfitters are fly fishing specialists for Montana and Yellowstone Park. We employ several of the West's most talented and experienced fly fishing guides. An ideal blend of veterans who average more than 20 years of experience and younger guides who possess exceptional talent and enthusiasm, each member of our staff is committed to helping our clients enjoy the best fishing the Yellowstone area has to offer.

Is is hard to match the fun and excitement of a float trip on one of the great rivers of Montana. Float fishing allows you to fish many miles of river you would not otherwise see and to put your fly over more trout in one day than you normally do in a week.

Much of the best fishing in the area, including all of Yellowstone Park, is restricted to wade fishing only. Three of the West's greatest rivers, the Missouri, the Yellowstone and the Snake, originate in the Park. Their headwaters support abundant populations of wild trout and an endless variety of wild places to fish for them. We also offer walk trips to some of the best fishing outside the Park in Montana.

We teach a lot of people how to fly fish. Whether it is for a half day or a couple of days, beginning and novice fly fishers can quickly learn what it would take them years to learn on their own. Our guides are patient instructors who teach the fundamentals of fly casting, knot tying, fly selection, line control, reading water and safe wading. Fees are the same as for walk trips.

We also offer Fishing/Lodging packages with some of West Yellowstone's finest motels. Package prices with local motels include guide service, local transportation, lunches and lodging.
