The beauty of Yellowstone Country can be enjoyed as you take a short journey to the Madison, Gallatin, Yellowstone, Firehole or Gibbon Rivers in Montana or Yellowstone National Park. The Henry's Fork of the Snake River in Idaho is just 14 miles to the south. Other legendary streams such as the Lamar, Slough Creek or Soda Butte are less that two hours away within the Park. If you prefer lake fishing from a boat, float tube or shore, Hebgen and Henry's lakes are within 20 miles of West Yellowstone, with many excellent lakes such as Grebe, Trout and Yellowstone that are less that two hours away in the park.
